Message from Coach Ben- Week #6 Update!

Barracudas-

Welcome to week #6!

This week we will be preparing for our meet against the Sherwater Sharks.

Last week we beat the Stingrays and dropped a lot of personal times so let’s do the WORK and do it again this weekend!

RSVP Meet Entry Reminder———

At this point in time I need all parents to declare your swimmer for the next meet (south hampton).

Coaches begin working on entries in the beginning of the week on Monday, with the registrations closing on Monday for us.

We kindly ask that parents be mindful of this rsvp . With every addition or removal it impacts the process.

For our away meets, entries are due to the host team by Tuesday and any addition or removal will have a greater impact on the host team’s process and system.

Meet Entry Review and Process—-

Meet Entries are uploaded on to the site by Thursday or Friday before each meet under the sign up calendar tab.

Please review the MEET ENTRIES list on the WEBSITE that will allow you to view your swimmers individual AND relay. On the app it only shows your swimmers individual entry.

Moving into the backend of the swim season we are preparing for CHAMPS. We will send and have available our process of entries in detail so swimmers are prepared to work towards their CHAMP races!

Practice times——-

Moving forward, please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of your practice time. With attendance changing daily, our lane assignments change and makes it easier for coaches to prepare lanes and swimmers when everyone is together and on time.

Junior Coaches——-

Our Junior coaches having been doing an EXCELLENT job, supporting, guiding and assisting our Barracudas this summer, please celebrate them and their work when you get the chance, it means a lot to them:)

Board Members and Volunteers——

Our green machine cannot run without our awesome board members and volunteer parents and family members. Please also celebrate them and their work when you get the chance.

Parents on pool deck

Please continue to stay on the sides of the pool deck during practice hours and continue to give space to your swimmer during their practice times.

Let’s keep up the great work Barracudas!!

Barracuda Way!!
